He is Certainly Handsome Enough to Tempt Me!

(news photo)

Professor DR Schreiber has won a most prestigious award in the Portland, Oregon magic community– The 2011 Stan Kramien Award For Excellence in Stage Magic– bestowed upon him by the Society of American Magicians for his performance and exhibition of late 18th and early 19th Century Magic.  Read all about it here in a front page article of the West Linn Tidings that came out last Thursday.

If you would like to catch a glimpse of Professor Schreiber’s lecture, you can see a bit of it here on youtube. It is meant to be performed in parlors and more intimate gatherings, just as magic was performed in the late 18th and early 19th Century, not really in larger auditoriums or theaters.  The professor has done many a talk during high teas, dinner gatherings, and local historical society events.  Though I may be biased, I feel that he is most definitely a quality catch indeed!

Of course the professor is nothing without his script writer and his lovely assistant! Thank you, my dear!
